
That pefect glow is what we all desire, but healthy skin doesn’t start in the drug store, it starts at the market. Your diet, that is what you eat on a daily basis, affects your skins appearance much more than the expensive cream and soap you put on your skin. Make a few changes in your diet and your skin will glow.
- Green Tea - Brewed Green Tea is a powerful source of antioxidants, which are an excellent way to fight free radicals (the ‘bad guys’ responsible for the appearance of aging on your skin). Green Tea is also a fantastic anti inflammatory, which can reduce redness and the appearance of swelling on the skin.
- Salmon - An excellent source of essential Omega 3 Fats salmon is a powerful anti inflammatory. Inflammation tends to be the root cause of problem skin, a diet rich in salmon will reduce skin redness, and swelling.
- Cucumbers - A delicious summertime veggie, cucumber is a great source of vitamin C and caffeic acid. Where we typically think of applying cucumber on the skin, it is also very effective when eaten. The vitamin C found in cucumber boosts the production of collagen and elastin, which keeps the skin looking young and wrinkle free. The caffeic acid is a UV fighter which prevents skin damage, especially in the summer months.
- Carrots - A terrific source of Vitamin A, carrots will effectively reduce the appearance of red bumps and scaly skin. If you are plagued by dry skin, or red bumps, chances are that you are vitamin A deficient.
- Water - The key ingredient to good health, you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Dehydration can have serious affects on the appearance of the skin, and definitely wont helps with problem skin.
