With a light cake as a base, strawberries make a delicious flag cake your family and guests will not forget. This recipe is a great way to enjoy the Canada Day without worrying about your waistline. Angel Food Cake is made mostly with high protein, low fat egg whites and is a great alternative to high fat white cake.
Canada Day Flag Cake
Cake:
1 box Angel Food Cake
- prepare according to box directions
- cool on rack
Topping:
1 container light whipped cream, or 1/2 L Cream, whipped
4 cupsStarwberries
Top cake with whipped cream. Trace outline of flag with a knife into the cream, lay berries in place.
