Make Your Workout Sexy

workoutOne of the most important hormones that defines both your sexual and workout success is testosterone.  The more testosterone you have in your body, the more weight you will be able to lift and the more sex you will want to have.

There are many ways that you can increase your testosterone levels naturally.  One of the best and most efficient ways is with increased exercise activity.  Immediately following a workout, your testosterone levels are drained and that is why you might not feel “up to the challenge” but rest assured that the body works fast to replenish these storage’s.  Each time this hormone gets renewed, a surplus is created as a survival mechanism to ensure that there is enough ready for round 2.

Sexy Calories: How Many Calories Can You Burn During Sex

sleepy-sexyFor some people, sex is a figment of their imagination while for other people, it is part of their daily routine.  If you are one of the lucky people who are sexually active on a semi-regular basis, then consider yourself in a positive caloric deficit over those who are spending more time by themselves.

Extensive research in the field has proven that you can burn up to 500 calories an hour of sexual activity.  With 3500 calories in 1 pound of fat, you can expect to burn off 1 pound for every 7 sex sessions!  So if you are looking to lose more weight, be nice to your mate and it will all pay off in the end.

Try This To Stay Awake Longer In Bed

impotentExercise has been proven to be the number one recommendation for men who suffer from impotence to help them maintain a healthy, active, sex life.  Regular exercise training can help you prevent these symptoms the same way it helps you prevent cardiovascular diseases, by increasing your blood flow.  Impotence is actually a common warning sign of heart attacks because the penis is more sensitive to a reduced blood flow and a good indicator that a change in lifestyle is in order.

If you are ready to start making some changes to your sex life, start with something as simple as walking.  Anything to get the blood pumping is a great start.  Then, some more intense activities like resistance training or jogging will help to keep you awake in bed longer.

Do Your Migraines Indicate Future Bad Health?

migraine

For many many years it has been believed that migraines are nothing to worry about.  Doctors have simply been working with migraine sufferers to manage the debilitating pain and side effects that come along with migraines and cause major disturbances in migraine sufferers lives.

However recently a study was presented at the annual meet of the American Academy of Neurology that suggests that migraine sufferers may be at greater risk for strokes and heart attacks later in life.  In the study weekly migraine sufferers, who experience visual disturbances like auras, were followed over 12 years and it was found that they were three times more likely to have a stroke and one and half times more likely to have a heart attack.  This study was concluded to need more research as the link between migraines and strokes is not yet understood.

Top 3 Tips To Quit Smoking

quitsmoking

We definitely don’t need to remind you why you should quit smoking, but sometimes your health isn’t enough to get you to butt out for good.  Nicotine is an addictive substance and no one knows more than a smoker how hard it is to give the stuff up.  Here are some great tips to help you quit smoking.

1.  Use a nicotine replacement system.  Going it cold turkey is tough, but by slowly reducing the amount of nicotine in your system makes giving up smoking a lot easier.

2.  Make it personal: come up with a list of reasons why you should quit, but make the reasons personal and rank them.  Perhaps you want to quit to stop exposing your children to second hand smoke or maybe you want to quit to be a good role model to your family.

3.  Reward yourself: Make short term goals and when you reach them reward yourself.  Perhaps for each month that you are smoke free you treat yourself to a new outfit or tickets to the game.  With all the money you are saving you can definitely afford it!
