How Sex Can Improve Your Health

sleep

1. Pain management: The endorphins released during sex act as great pain relievers and help to calm your nerves and relieve tension.

2. Weight loss: You can expect to burn about 200 calories for every 30 minutes of sex leading to less energy being stored and more fat used.

3. Reduced heart disease risk. Sex helps to increase heart rate, blood pressure and breathing. Your heart gets a good workout and improves cardiovascular function.

4. Improved immune system function: Having sex at least twice a week has been linked with a higher level of immunoglobulin in the blood which plays a very important role in immune system function.

5. Improved sleep patterns: The calming effect of sex helps to keep you in a restful state for a longer period of time.

The More Sex, The More Weight Loss

weightloss
During sex you might feel as if you are getting a workout: your heart rate increases, blood pressure rises, you feel hot and start breathing heavier and may even perspire. Ultimately sex acts as an excellent cardiovascular workout and you can expect to burn up to 400 calories an hour depending on your level of passion and intensity. That is more calories than you would burn on a brisk walk making it an excellent calorie burner.

More sex will also help to decrease your appetite and ward off cravings. During sex your body releases a chemical called phenetylamine which is known to curb your appetite. Also, your serotonin levels increase during orgasm which leads to a greater sense of well-being and fewer cravings for junk food or cigarettes.

Even more sex will help you to sleep better allowing your body to charge your inner battery leaving you with more energy and motivation the next day to do more things and get more work done. This is because sex acts as an excellent stress reliever. During sex your body releases endorphins, a hormone that gives you a euphoric-like sensation that helps to relieve pain, reduce stress, and creates an overall sense of relaxation.

Regular sex will also help to increase your metabolism naturally. Having sex at least 3 times a week doubles as a great workout and will help to keep your body active and in shape forcing it to burn more calories at rest to keep you in shape and ready for more action.

Benefits Of A High Fiber Diet

20090528_dailytip

Weight loss:  Foods that are rich in fiber tend to be low in fat and added sugar.  They help with weight loss because there is less calories per bite, promote satiety, and help you make better use of your foods.

Fights cancer:  A high fiber diet can help prevent colon cancer.  It helps to move food through the digestive system faster and more efficiently leaving room for less waste.

Battles diabetes:  High fiber foods help to slow down the absorption of sugars thereby regulating insulin activity and minimizing blood-sugar spikes

Reduces risk of heart disease:  Eating more fiber will help lower cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and mobilize fat.

Improves digestion:  Fiber will literally scrape out your digestive system helping your body’s systems perform more effectively.  You will make better use of your foods, increase absorption of nutrients, and deliver waste more efficiently.
