If you are undergoing an exercise program, then your body is in need of additional protein and you should make it available at every meal. Proteins supplements are easier to digest and provide a perfect balance of all the essential amino acids. They provide you with the necessary amino acids needed for improvement, but they will also satisfy your mid-meal hunger, and therefore speed up your metabolism naturally.
Specifically, you should be taking your protein supplement after a workout to help with recovery, speed up improvement, and maximize workout efficiency. You see, after exercise the recuperation process begins almost immediately and you should supply your body with the required replenishing nutrients as soon as possible with a protein supplement shake. Then, 2-3 hours later, you can have your lunch or dinner. That way, you are maximizing your recovery by first replenishing what has been lost and what is needed for repair, and then getting right back on track with the maintenance of nutrient intake.

Lets face it doing the same workout over and over can get boring, especially if there is no new challenge. You may go from the treadmill to the elliptical trainer and on to the stationary bike, but you will probably not find your cardio workout any more exciting. Sometimes the best thing you can do is get out of the gym and try something new.
Rock climbing is an activity that was once thought of as an extreme sport, reserved for extremists and thrill seekers but today rock climbing is as easy to find as a treadmill. The American College of Sports Medicine has qualified rock climbing as “excellent to superior” aerobic exercise, this basically means that 30 minutes of rock climbing is as good fro your heart, lungs, muscles, joints, and for weight loss than 30 minutes of running on the treadmill, only it may be a lot more fun.
