Get Your Family Moving By Watching The 2010 Olympic Games

In just a few days Vancouver, Canada will be hosting the 2010 Olympic Games.  Even if you are not a huge fan of the games taking the time to watch the games with your family can actually improve your health.  The winter is a time when we all seem to pack on a little extra weight, weight that can hurt our self esteem and our health.  This is probably because the activities that we usually enjoy are unavailable to us because of the weather.

By taking the time to watch the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver this year you may just surprise yourself and your family by seeing a winter sport that you’re interested in trying.  Take this opportunity to explore new activities with your friends and family and get moving, even in the winters cold.  By staying active through the winter you will prevent yourself from gaining those winter pounds, and those healthy risks that come with it.

Best Wrap Diet Recipe: Tuna Wrap

When you are on a healthy weight loss plan eating the same thing over and over can get stale.  Trying new things is a great way to stick to your plan and reach your weight loss goals and maintain it.  Here is a great wrap that is high in protein and fiber and low in calories and fat with all the flavor and moisture.

Tuna Guacamole Wrap

Level: Easy
Cook Time: 5 Min(s)

Ingredients:

* 1 Small Whole Wheat Wrap (tortilla)
* 2 oz Tuna, packed in water
* 1 tbsp Guacamole
* Lettuce
* Tomato

Directions: Spread guacamole across the wrap (tortilla). Flake tuna with a fork, and sprinkle over guacamole. Layer lettuce and tomato over tuna. Roll, folding in one end, as you go. Serve and enjoy.

Burn Fat And Lose Weight Skiing

There are many ways to get in shape and lose weight.  Spending endless amounts of hours in the gym is effective but it can become tedious and mentally draining.  But you dont have to be chained to a treadmill to look good and feel better about yourself.  Try to think outside of the box and make an effort to be more active during your daily routine.  The extra effort will contribute to your weekly caloric deficit and help you look better and lose more weight in the long run.

Instead of hiding out near the fire this cold winter, take advantage of the new weather conditions and do some skiing outdoors.  Skiing can burn roughly 400 calories an hour.  If you make a weekend out of it you can drop about 1 or 2 pounds of fat alone just from the skiing you will do.  Combined with the amount of time spent gearing up and getting ready to take on the elements for an extended period of time, the sport of skiing makes for a very calorie dependent activity.

The BLT is a favorite sandwich but can it really be good for you too?  This is a BLT recipe that is sure to satisfy and keep you on your weight loss plan.

BLT

Level: Easy
Cook Time: 5 Min(s)
Ingredients:

* 2 slices Whole Wheat Bread
* 2 leafs of Lettuce
* 1 tbsp Low Fat Mayonnaise
* 1/2 Tomato, sliced
* 2oz Turkey Bacon, cooked

Directions: Prepare turkey bacon to desired crispness. Layer mayo, lettuce, tomato and turkey bacon between bread. Replace turkey bacon with chicken bacon if desired.
